Welcome to my daily learning journal. My daily goal is to watch one Ted Talk and one cataract surgery. I also plan to read one journal article and read/listen to a book chapter, podcast, or significant work.
Here is today’s list:

1. Ted Talk – Teresa Bejan: Is civility a sham? “What exactly is civility, and what does it require? In a talk packed with historical insights, political theorist Teresa Bejan explains how civility has been used as both the foundation of tolerant societies and as a way for political partisans to silence and dismiss opposing views. Bejan suggests that we should instead try for “mere civility”: the virtue of being able to disagree fundamentally with others without destroying the possibility of a common life tomorrow. (This talk contains mature language.)” (ted.com)
Excellent talk, dated 2018, which remains relevant. Especially today.

2. Cataract Surgery – Dr. Neto Rosatelli – Phaco Clip #6 – White Cataract Phacorhexis.
So cool. I’ve watched this multiple times.

3A. Yeh, Tsai-Chu. Retinal Artery Occlusion after Fat Injection Laryngoplasty. Ophthalmology, Volume 128, Issue 1, 47.

3B. Cai S, Yordi SF, Henderson AD. Homonymous Hemianopia With Normal Magnetic Resonance Imaging. JAMA Ophthalmol. 2020;138(6):702–703. doi:10.1001/jamaophthalmol.2020.0447
