Welcome to my daily learning journal. Here is today’s list:

1. Ted Talk – Supasorn Suwajanakorn: Fake videos of real people — and how to spot them. “Do you think you’re good at spotting fake videos, where famous people say things they’ve never said in real life? See how they’re made in this astonishing talk and tech demo. Computer scientist Supasorn Suwajanakorn shows how, as a grad student, he used AI and 3D modeling to create photorealistic fake videos of people synced to audio. Learn more about both the ethical implications and the creative possibilities of this tech — and the steps being taken to fight against its misuse.”

Insightful talk. Powerful technology for the years ahead. (7 minutes)

2. Cataract Surgery – Uday Devgan MD – How to suture the Phaco Incision with 10-0 Nylon. Nice review.

3. Andrew Lee MD – “PERRLA is not adequate!!

Dr. Lee’s 450+ neuro-ophthalmology reviews are perfect for lifelong learning.

4. William Green, Richer, Wiser, Happier. Chapter 3, “Everything Changes” (Howard Marks)

A remarkable chapter on an investing legend & the influence of Buddhist teachings. Love the chapter subheadings, including, “First, Be Lucky. Second, Be Humble.” The themes which Green discusses on page 78 (and many others bolded throughout the chapter) are timeless.
