#ProtectingSight #425: An interactive map to track & end pollution in China. Vertical chop & hypertensive retinopathy. Discipline, prudence, and patience.

Welcome to my daily learning journal. Here is today’s list:

1. Ted Talk – Ma Jun: An interactive map to track (and end) pollution in China. “China has pledged to be carbon neutral by 2060 — and its citizens are helping industries across the country reach that goal. Environmentalist Ma Jun introduces the Blue Map, an app that empowers people to report pollution violations in their communities and track real-time environmental data, holding emitters accountable and helping companies along the global supply chain make informed sourcing decisions. Hear how the app uses the power of transparency to motivate more than 14,000 factories (so far) to clean up.” (ted.com description)

A compelling talk. I hope the Blue Map spreads worldwide.

2. Cataract Surgery – Uday Devgan MD – 1193: learning vertical chop phaco. Many great pearls.

3. Andrew Lee MD – Hypertension and Neuro Ophthalmology.

Dr. Lee’s neuro-ophthalmology reviews are perfect for lifelong learning.

4. Mary Buffett & David Clark – The Tao of Warren Buffett: Warren Buffett’s Words of Wisdom: Quotations and Interpretations to Help Guide You to Billionaire Wealth and Enlightened Business Management. Chapter 8 on “Discipline, Prudence, and Patience.”

Picked this book up for $2 at the local library book sale. A great investment as Warren Buffett shares timeless wisdom.
