#ProtectingSight #440: Why people believe they can’t draw. Purkinje images, neuro findings with kidney disease, & polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV). The Academy’s MOM Program.

Welcome to my daily learning journal. Here is today’s list:

1. Ted Talk – Graham Shaw: Why people believe they can’t draw. “Most people think they can’t draw, but communications expert Graham Shaw isn’t buying it. In this fun, instructional talk, he demonstrates how a few adjustments to your drawing technique (and your attitude) can leave you with an effective new presentation tool as well as an outlet for your creativity.” (ted.com description)

This Ted Talk was so much fun! With thanks to Graham Shaw for this intro drawing lesson. Was always envious of high school and college newspaper cartoonists who could draw with ease!

2. Uday Devgan MD – 1208: center IOLs with Purkinje images. Excellent pearls.

3. Andrew Lee MD – Neuro Ophthalmology and the kidneys.

Dr. Lee’s neuro-ophthalmology reviews are perfect for lifelong learning.

4. EyeNetAugust 2021 (PDF) – Chief Medical Editor Dr. Williams writes about “Ophthalmologist the Elder.” CEO/EVP Dr. Parke highlights the Academy’s MOM Program.

The News in Review commentary on polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV) is excellent.
