Welcome to my daily learning journal. Here is today’s list:

1. Ted Talk – Daniel Goldstein: The battle between your present and future self.
A very good talk. The reference to Odysseus and “Tying yourself to a mast” are superb.
I was particularly drawn to this quotation:

This is the essential pearl of value investing.

2. Cataract Surgery – Uday Devgan MD – Three-piece IOL: B versus C cartridge. Great technique. Have been spoiled at the Wills Eye ASC as the nurses are superb experts in loading lenses.
3. Andrew Lee MD – Non-organic vision loss. Excellent roadmap on non-organic vision loss.
Dr. Lee’s neuro-ophthalmology reviews are perfect for lifelong learning.

4. Maggio E, Palamara A, Pertile G. Bilateral Central and Peripheral Vision Loss in an Otherwise Asymptomatic Woman. JAMA Ophthalmol. Published online May 13, 2021. doi:10.1001/jamaophthalmol.2020.5278
JAMA Ophthalmology Clinical Challenges include high yield clinical vignettes.
