Welcome to my daily learning journal. Here is today’s list:

1. Ted Talk – Jen Gunter: Can you actually boost your immune system? Here’s the truth. “Take vitamin C supplements when you feel a cold coming on? The problem is, you can’t actually “strengthen” your immune system, says Dr. Jen Gunter. Diving into the elegant network of cells, tissues and organs that protect us every day, she introduces two kinds of immunity that specialize in recognizing and fighting off bad bacteria, viruses, fungi and toxins — and shares what you can do to keep your immune system healthy. Want to hear more from Dr. Gunter? Check out her podcast Body Stuff, from the TED Audio Collective.” (ted.com)

2. Cataract Surgery – Uday Devgan MD – 1137: too soft to chop, so tumble it. Excellent technique.
3. Andrew Lee MD – Central Scotoma.
Dr. Lee’s neuro-ophthalmology reviews are perfect for lifelong learning.

4. Episode 7: The Three Types of Decision Makers with Venkatesh Rao — Shane Parrish writes, “In this episode, Venkatesh Rao, founder of Ribbonfarm and author of the book Tempo discusses the 3 types of decision-makers and shares how to adopt useful mental models.”
Insightful podcast episode. I especially enjoy Ted Talks and podcasts on technology which are a few years old. This 2015 episode is prescient on many innovation and tech areas, including cryptocurrency.
