On July 1, 2026, I have the privilege of celebrating 25 years in private practice.
I joined Regional Eye Associates one day after completing ophthalmology residency. And “Regional Eye” is my first and only job post-residency. In an era when physicians often change practices or career paths, I have been fortunate to spend a quarter century serving the South Jersey community alongside extraordinary partners, colleagues, and staff.
My family’s roots in South Jersey run much deeper than my medical career. We have called this community home since 1973. My parents were founding members of our local temple, established in February 1976. My family later helped establish the Indian Cultural Center of South Jersey through a naming gift made in honor of my parents. Those experiences taught me the importance of putting down roots, investing in your community, and giving back.
Looking at these two photographs, I see more than gray hair and the passage of time. I see thousands of patients who entrusted me with their vision, countless lessons learned in the operating room, lifelong friendships, and the privilege of helping people protect one of life’s greatest gifts: sight.
Medicine has changed dramatically over the past 25 years. Cataract surgery, diagnostics, and artificial intelligence have transformed the way we care for patients. Yet the most important part of medicine remains unchanged—the relationship between physician and patient, built on trust, compassion, and service.
To every patient, colleague, mentor, technician, employee, friend, and family member who has been part of this journey, thank you. Your confidence, encouragement, and support have made these 25 years deeply meaningful.
As I celebrate this milestone, I am grateful that the place where I chose to begin my career is the same place I am honored to continue serving today.
The mission remains the same: protecting sight and empowering lives.
